With a view to provide a home away from home for the senior citizens in idyllic conditions, the Homes were constructed to accommodate 50 people – 28 rooms (accommodating 2 in a room) with attached bathroom. Built in an area of 20,000 sq.ft., the needs of senior citizens were kept in mind all throughout the construction process. The homes are furnished with western toilets, baths, TVs, washing machines, and more. Solar Panels are used for hot water and electricity. Inmates requiring A/C can provide their own A/Cs and pay extra charges accordingly. Single rooms are also provided for those who do not want to share the room with other person.

Community mess-
The occupants are provided vegetarian food prepared in clean kitchen by experienced cooks. Coffee/tea at 6 am, breakfast at 7.30 am, lunch at 12.30 pm, tea/coffee with light refreshments at 4 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm. Food is of high quality and is nutritious in value. Special requirements of diabetic inmates are also taken into consideration.

Charges – Rs. 11,000 for single bed occupancy and Rs.17,000 for the full room for self.

Library – well stocked with books, periodicals, newspaper in English and Tamil. The books are on different subjects by reputed Indian and International authors.

Physical and other activities –
Located in the midst of a large farm, seniors have ample scope for regular walks and exercises. Online Yoga classes are also available. Get together of residents on various festivals, important occasions like birthdays, wedding days etc. are also arranged. The nearby Sri Gayatri temple complex wherein havans and regular pujas are conducted, provide the spiritual solace for the elders.

Medical care-
Qualified doctors do monthly visits to ensure good health for all seniors. Resident nurses and ambulance with oxygen cylinder are available 24/7. Nearby branch of Cauvery hospital in Sricity (10 kms away) takes care of emergencies. The required medicines for the residents are home delivered.
